12:00PM-1:00PM – GOLDEN ARM
PARTICIPANTS WILL COMPETE BY TEAM NAME APLHAPBETICAL ORDER SO THERE ARE NO ISSUES
Teams will consist of (8) eight players. (4) Four at second base and (4) Four at home plate. Teams will receive two (2) attempts. Players may not lead off! Players will run a relay style race. The first runner from Home Plate will take off and the clock will start. When that player touches second base and hands off (transfers) the baseball, the first player at 2nd base will take off from behind the base and wait for the previous runner to cross in front of him touching second base before he will leave his spot. When the player from second going home touches home plate and hands off (transfers) the baseball, the next player will take off from home plate. When the last player touches home plate, the clock will stop. We require that the next player running start behind the base or in the right handed batter’s box so that there is no question if the player left early.
An individual event. A Target will be set up @ home plate and each age group will throw from 2nd base. Players will have 3 throws, for each throw 5 points will be awarded for hitting the target directly. 1 point will be awarded for any bounced ball that hits the target directly. No points if the target is not hit. If ties occur then another round will need to occur to break the tie.
